Why Kaizen
Taught by working artists
Kaizen Education is the professional side of Reverie Salon. Classes are led by Sal Misseri — Davines Global Artist, 17-time NAHA-recognized stylist and winner at the Irish Hairdressing Awards and America's Beauty Show Global Image Awards — and the Kaizen educators, who teach the same standard they work to every day behind the chair.
How long is the Modern Men's Cutting class?
It is a full-day, hands-on class of six to eight hours in a small group at Reverie Salon, 300 W Grand Ave, Suite 5, in Chicago's River North — with demonstration first, then time behind the chair with individual correction.
How much does the Modern Men's Cutting class cost?
The Modern Men's Cutting class is from $600 per person, the same as Kaizen's other hands-on cutting and color classes. Payment plans are available on select classes.
Who teaches the Modern Men's Cutting class?
Kaizen classes are taught by Sal Misseri — founder of Kaizen Education and Reverie Salon, Davines Global Artist and 17-time NAHA-recognized stylist — and the Kaizen educators.
Is this a barbering class?
It is a salon men's cutting class for licensed stylists, covering scissor-over-comb, clipper and fade work and tailored men's shapes. It does not provide barber licensing hours.
Why focus on men's cutting?
Men's clients often rebook every three to six weeks, so consistent, tailored men's cutting can become one of the steadiest parts of a stylist's book.
Can I take Modern Men's Cutting privately or bring it to my salon?
Yes. Modern Men's Cutting can be booked as a one-to-one private mentoring day or taught to your whole team through Kaizen in-salon education. Email sal@reveriesalon.com or call (312) 955-0083.
