Questions

Precision Foiling class FAQ

Read the full FAQ

How long is the Precision Foiling class?

It is a full-day, hands-on class of six to eight hours in a small group at Reverie Salon, 300 W Grand Ave, Suite 5, in Chicago's River North — with demonstration first, then time behind the chair with individual correction.

How much does the Precision Foiling class cost?

The Precision Foiling class is from $600 per person, the same as Kaizen's other hands-on cutting and color classes. Payment plans are available on select classes.

Who teaches the Precision Foiling class?

Kaizen classes are taught by Sal Misseri — founder of Kaizen Education and Reverie Salon, Davines Global Artist and 17-time NAHA-recognized stylist — and the Kaizen educators.

What is precision foiling?

Precision foiling is controlled, pattern-based foil work — weaving, slicing and placement planned for exactly the brightness and dimension the client wants — rather than foiling by habit.

Is foiling still relevant with balayage so popular?

Yes. Foils give more lift and control than open-air painting, and combining foils with freehand painting is how many of the brightest, softest blondes are created.

Can I take Precision Foiling privately or bring it to my salon?

Yes. Precision Foiling can be booked as a one-to-one private mentoring day or taught to your whole team through Kaizen in-salon education. Email sal@reveriesalon.com or call (312) 955-0083.
